NEEDLE AND THREAD

Based on needlework patterns taken from online resources and archives, this collection of flash is inspired by my Grandmother and my friend Sam; Both of whom find such joy in the execution of cloth and thread, and both of whom have inspired me to find more craft in my life.
I seek to reappropriate these designs as symbols of strength and permanence; Small reminders of our childhood or our history transformed into tokens of tenderness and protection.

(Note that the size of the dots will depend on each design, and are drawn large here to reflect what the tattoo will look like when settled, not fresh on the day. I am also very happy to draw something new for you, or to discuss customization as well)
